1. Nature of This Service
Washington Residents Directory is privately operated reference material. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Washington, Pennsylvania. It does not host government records and is not connected with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Rules for Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service or material located through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Find a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions concerning credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance
- Scrape, copy, or republish service content at scale
- Disrupt the service's operation or security
3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on it, including material returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Links
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search providers, operate under their own terms and policies. We do not control their content, availability, charges, or information practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that its material is accurate, complete, or current, or that an external portal will remain available or return accurate results.
6. Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from use of this service or an external resource, including decisions based on records reached through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, caused by misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The service's original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links to a page and brief attributed quotations are permitted, but full-page republication or systematic copying is not.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
10. Restricting Access
We may restrict or block access, without notice and at our discretion, when a user breaches these terms or abuses the service.
11. Pennsylvania Law and Requests
Pennsylvania law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. A request for an agency-held public record follows the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101–67.3104, rather than this service's contact route. Send a written request to the relevant custodian. An agency ordinarily has five business days to respond, deny, or invoke a 30-calendar-day extension; a deemed denial or denial may be appealed in writing to the Office of Open Records within 15 business days without an appeal fee. Court records follow the Judicial System's own access rules.
12. Severability
If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect.
