Information You Provide
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our servers do not retain a copy of that query. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting services create routine logs that can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregated information to operate and maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies and similar tools may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, diagnose problems, measure general traffic, and improve the material. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual user profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to county or state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Information submitted to those destinations is controlled by their policies, not this policy. Sponsored results are likewise supplied by another company.
When Data Is Shared
Providers that host or support the service may process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatically collected information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise do not share it beyond these purposes.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no accounts, the service does not hold a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted information, and we will remove it.
Your Data Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a website holds. Because Washington Residents Directory retains very little, we can check the contact mailbox and relevant logs when you use the Contact page. Public records maintained by Pennsylvania state, county, or municipal agencies are outside our control. The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101–67.3104, provides the written-request route for agency records, subject to exemptions and other laws. An agency ordinarily has five business days to grant, deny, or take a 30-calendar-day extension; a nonresponse is a deemed denial, and a written Office of Open Records appeal is due within 15 business days.
